Reading, Writing & Literacy
Teaching reading and writing brings questions at every stage—from helping children connect letters and sounds to guiding readers toward deeper understanding and helping writers find their voices. Reading, Writing & Literacy is a space to explore those questions together. Here, we’ll discuss phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, spelling, writing instruction, and the oral language skills that support literacy development. We’ll also explore supporting struggling learners, challenging confident readers and writers, and building a lasting love of reading. Through teacher questions, classroom experiences, practical strategies, and research-informed conversations, we’ll consider what helps, why it matters, and how instruction can respond to the learners in front of us. Bring your questions, share your experiences, and join the conversation.
